"Elia"
I'd been going to Z Berg's concerts for years when she reached out asking me to illustrate this video. The song was written specifically for a friend of mine, as a prize for winning one of Z's contests. All of the drawings were done traditionally using charcoal, and then given subtle movement in AfterEffects. I originally was going to draw them digitally, as this project had a quick turnaround, but I decided early in the process that using charcoal would be much more fitting.
"Constellation"
When I discovered Jacob Ryan Smith (the_song_smith) was writing a song every day for 2020 and was searching for collaborators, I immediately reached out to him and offered to animate something. I've loved his work for a long time and it was an amazing treat to be able to contribute to his project.
